1. Who we are
Nixotine (“Nixotine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an iOS app and this website, nixotine.app, operated by Serkan Coşkun, an independent app developer based in Türkiye. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the app or visit the website, and the choices you have.

2. Two separate scopes
This policy covers two different things, which handle data very differently:
- The App — the Nixotine iOS application you install on your phone.
- The Website — nixotine.app, the marketing site you're reading now.
Please read the section that applies to you.
3. Information the app handles
Nixotine is designed to be private by default. The app works fully offline, requires no account or sign-up, and does not send your personal information to us or to any server we control.
Data that stays on your device
Everything you track in the app — such as your quit date, logged cravings, streak, savings, reduction settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device only. We do not receive it, we cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to a cloud we operate. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
Purchases and subscriptions
If you buy a Nixotine Pro subscription, the payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your card details. To manage subscriptions and restore purchases across your devices, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as a subscription-management provider. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app identifier and information about your purchase (such as which product you bought and your receipt) plus basic device and app-version data. It does not receive your name, email, or contacts, and this information is used only to validate and restore your subscription. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
No tracking or ads
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no social logins. We do not track you across apps or websites, and there is no in-app data profile of you.
4. Information the website handles
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and roughly where traffic comes from). This is done using cookies and similar technologies, and may involve your IP address (which we ask Google to anonymize), device and browser type, pages visited, and referring links.
Analytics only run if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you click “Decline,” no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser. Learn more in Google's privacy policy.
Waitlist form
If you submit your email address to join the waitlist, we collect that email address (via Netlify Forms, our hosting provider) for one purpose: to notify you when Nixotine launches and share related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time or ask us to delete your email by writing to nixotineapp@gmail.com.
Hosting logs
This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Like most web hosts, Netlify may process standard server information such as IP addresses for security, delivery, and abuse prevention. See Netlify's privacy policy.
5. Cookies
The app uses no cookies. The website uses two kinds:
- Essential storage — a small entry in your browser's local storage that remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. This is required for the site to respect your decision.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics only if you accept. You can decline these.
6. How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- Provide and restore your subscription (via Apple and RevenueCat);
- Understand and improve website traffic (analytics, with consent);
- Tell you when the app launches and send updates you asked for (waitlist);
- Keep the website secure and running.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
7. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on: your consent (for analytics cookies and waitlist emails), performance of a contract (to provide and restore your subscription), and our legitimate interests (to keep the site secure). You can withdraw consent at any time.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the app stores your data only on your device, you can exercise access and deletion for app data directly by viewing or deleting it in the app.
For website data (your waitlist email), or to make any request, email nixotineapp@gmail.com and we'll respond as required by law. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not knowingly process sensitive personal information for the website.
9. Data retention
- App data: stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Subscription data: retained by Apple and RevenueCat per their policies for as long as needed to manage your subscription.
- Waitlist email: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Analytics: retained by Google according to your and Google's settings.
10. International transfers
Our service providers (Apple, RevenueCat, Google, Netlify) may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Children
Nixotine concerns quitting nicotine and is intended for adults of legal age in their location. The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information through the website, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We keep the app's data on your device rather than on our servers, which removes an entire category of risk. For the website and our providers, we and they use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we work to protect what little information is involved.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app and website evolve. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we'll provide a more prominent notice where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
